Access to nutritious food can make a huge difference for families facing financial hardship. Through Project Lifeline, United Way Broward coordinates the bulk purchase and delivery of fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, meats, rice, beans, grains, and other nutritious foods to a network of local food pantries and feeding programs throughout Broward County.
These great community partners are bringing food closer to the people who need it most, providing accessible locations so individuals and families can find assistance. In the past year, Project Lifeline provided fresh, nutritious food to more than 650,000 individuals and families, with more than 24 million lbs. of food distributed since the program began.
